About the Committee

A community built by veterans, for veterans.

What began as a Town of Little Elm committee is now an independent 501(c)(3) public charity, carrying the same mission forward with more room to serve.

Our story

Little Elm Veterans Committee was founded in August 2022 as a committee of the Town of Little Elm, serving as a liaison between the Town Council and local veterans and planning recognition events like the annual Veterans Honor Walk and the Little Elm Veterans Banquet.

In 2025 the Committee incorporated as an independent nonprofit, and the IRS recognized it as a 501(c)(3) public charity effective June 10, 2025. That lets us raise funds, build partnerships, and grow our programs while continuing to work closely with the Town and the veterans who call Little Elm home.

Our vision

To help Little Elm become a town that appreciates its veteran residents from every branch of service, and to create a sense of belonging for veterans.

Our purpose

To provide resources and a community of support for the Town's veterans.

What We Work Toward

Our goals

Host events throughout the year that connect the veterans in our community.

Educate the community on military veterans' rights, needs, and contributions to Little Elm.

Recommend ways to strengthen existing services for veterans while pursuing new programs and service opportunities.

Help create a community connection point that guides veterans to education, mentoring, workforce support, and health and wellness services.
